Guest Speakers
Every semester, BDFI students are privileged to host some of the top producers, writers, and directors from the film industry, including speakers from DreamWorks, Pixar, LucasFilm and other major studio affiliations.
Field Trips
Students are regularly taken on field trips to Bay Area production facilities. Recent trips include Spy Post and Kerner Optical (formerly part of ILM)
Screening
Every semester, the student films are screened in the Splet Theater in the Zaentz Media Center, giving the filmmakers a large theater experience.
Berkeley/San Francisco
BDFI is situated on the Berkeley/Emeryville border and just 15 minutes from San Francisco. Our close proximity to the cultural hubs of SF, Oakland and Berkeley allow for a wealth of acting resources and networking opportunities.
